We service all of New Jersey, all 5 Boroughs of New York City, and Long Island. We are willing to travel great lengths to satisfy our clients!

If you are having “orange” results with other spray tans, it can be due to the variations in quality in solutions. Low grade DHA and low quality (cheap) products have a tendency to react with skin poorly, causing it to look “orange.”

Additionally, our team has been extensively trained with our superior sunless tanning technique, one that cannot be replicated anywhere else. We have been trained to help choose colors for you that will go best with your skin tones.

Every spray tanning appointment includes a custom color consultation and service. It will last approximately 30 minutes for a single person session.

Our specialists arrive with a collapsible tent that is approximately 4.5 x 4.5 x 6.5 that contains our tools and protects your surroundings. We can set up anywhere you would like but do prefer to set up in an area of the house that has high ceilings, good lighting, and an outlet.

During your session, for our female clients, undergarments are not required and are up to you and your level of comfort. For our male clients, undergarments are required. But we essentially recommend wearing dark undergarments or swimwear. Remember, what you wear during your session will be your “tan line”!

After your session, it is best to wear loose-fitting dark cotton clothing. You should avoid wearing any denim, or tight sportswear within the first few hours, so plan accordingly.

We suggest getting a manicure and pedicure service before your tan. Getting a full manicure and pedicure AFTER your tan would involve soaking and scrubbing, which would remove the tan from your hands, arms, feet, and legs. If you need to get your nail services done AFTER the tan, we recommend a “polish change only”. Our solutions do not stain nail polish colors, and can easily be wiped off the nails.

On average, 5–10 days. Factors such as skin type, activities, prep, and maintenance can cause your results to vary. Ask your On The Go Glow specialist for information about a healthy skin regimen and additional information to extend your glow.

Yes! There is nothing in the spray tan solution that would prevent you from tanning in the sun. In fact, a number of customers have found that spray tanning before going on vacation and tanning outside actually gives them a better overall tan.

Spray tanning on top of any layer of sunburned skin is at risk for peeling. Exfoliating aggressively prior to the spray tan may irritate the burnt area which can trigger peeling skin.

Once the tan is applied, the affected area may become dry and begin the peeling process. When the tan develops and the peel occurs, it begins to look very patchy and uneven. The areas that are most at risk for peeling are the décolletage, shoulders and upper back. Even if the sunburn was mild, a few weeks ago and appears to be healed, damaged skin cells may still be under the surface and affect how your spray tan develops.

Stay protected with generous amounts of sunscreen when you have skin exposed to the sun, even with a spray tan!

We recommend every other week. We say every other week because, your tan will last longer than a week and we prefer you to be scrubbed clean before applying another tan. This just guarantees flawless results!

Yes, you can shave while you have a spray tan, but it’s important to do so with caution to avoid affecting the quality and longevity of your tan.

It’s generally recommended to wait at least 24 hours after your spray tan before shaving. This allows the tanning solution to fully develop and set, reducing the risk of removing or damaging the tan.

You should use a clean, sharp razor to minimize the chances of removing the tan unevenly. Dull razors may drag on the skin and can lead to uneven results.

When shaving, use light, gentle strokes to avoid scraping or exfoliating the skin too aggressively. Pressing too hard with the razor can remove the tan.

After shaving, pat your skin dry gently with a soft towel. Avoid rubbing vigorously, as this can potentially rub off some of the tan.

We suggest to book your appointment 2-3 days before any event or wedding and 1-2 days before any vacation to ensure your tan looks perfect.

Spray tanning does NOT protect your skin from the damaging effects of the sun and UV rays — please use protection if you will be out in the sun.

We maintain flexible hours in order to accommodate appointments that are convenient for everyone’s busy lives, no matter what time that is. We’ve literally gone out and sprayed clients in the middle of the night!

Contrary to popular belief you can’t just scrub off the spray tan. If you don’t believe us – give it a try! The spray tan is attached to the upper layers of your skin and gently fades as your skin exfoliates. If you go into the shower with a grainy scrub you will have very little success removing the tan. The thing to do is to take a long soak in a tub (saunas and Jacuzzis are also great) the idea is to soften the skin and get it steamy. Then is the time to work with a scrub, wash cloth, loofah or scrubbing mitts.

The concern some doctors have is over whether or not the active ingredient (DHA) is able to enter the blood stream; but the indications are that it cannot. DHA only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. However, we recommend all clients get permission from their physician first.

But because our solutions are paraben free, gluten free, eco-certified DHA, non-comedogenic, 100% vegan, and nut-allergen free, we’ve never had a pregnant client get a NO from her doctor!

Yes, we evaluate your skin type to help you achieve your best sunless color possible. We will consult with you to find what kind of color you are looking to achieve. After choosing a shade of solution and understanding what level of tan you are trying to achieve, your tanning expert will then decipher what the solution flow rate should be on their spray tanning equipment. No, the spray tan is safe for your existing tattoos and it will not cover them up.

Swimming in chlorinated water or salt water can fade the Spray Tanning results, cause possible streaking and will diminish the length of your tan. We recommend taking quick dips in the pool or ocean, and rinsing off the chlorinated water or salt water afterward.

Try to avoid using bar soaps and liquid soaps like Dove, Ivory, or heavily fragranced soaps. Those kinds of products will make for an uneven tan and also a shorter tan life. Using liquid soaps like — baby soap like Johnson & Johnson or Aveeno for the whole week (or so) you have the color will ensure a longer tan life and a nice even fade. Fading gradually is crucial if you want a natural looking tan!

This rule also applies to lotion, you want to be moisturized and keep hydrated while you have a spray tan. Avoiding fragranced lotions are necessary – you want to stick with a basic lotion like Cocoa Butter or baby lotions. Keeping your skin moisturized will help the color last longer and also endure gradual fading. If your skin is dry, the color will flake off with your dry skin making you look blotchy.
